Sikh History
Throughout history, it has been the action of those who had the courage to stand in the face of tyranny that has allowed us to have the freedoms we enjoy today.
We present children taking part in Punjabi classes with the opportunity to learn about the sacrifices and courage of their forefathers. This is in the form of a 2-year course. Covering history from the first Sikh Guru through to modern-day events in Sikh history.
Children are taught to think critically when presented with sources as well as placing sources in context based on the teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Children are taught these skills through a variety of forms including art, role play, poetry and presentation.
Classes Information
Every Sunday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm for ages 5 to 18.
Join our Adult Sikh History Classes held every two weeks on Saturdays from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.
